Mmmm! Choco-taco

What am I reading now?  The Key of Kilenya (Andrea Pearson)

Annnd. . . what do I think of it so far? Jacob is attacked by huge, vicious wolves. When he's chased into the woods, he finds he has entered a magical world (literally another world) that is in desperate need of his help. Wouldn't his older brother be a better choice for saving the Makalo? What do they mean, Jacob is magical?

He has no idea where to go, what to do or how this world works. (Oh yeah, he messes up a lot.) He could walk away (or run if the wolves see him) and put this world and his own at risk of destruction or he could try something--anything.

His quest begins to find the Key of Kilenya.

Genre: Fantasy (especially for ages 12-15)

Mmmm! Choco-Taco

•chocolate waffle
•whipped cream
•strawberry sauce
•toffee covered peanuts

This is super simple, but here are the recipe det's:

Chocolate Waffle
Chocolate cake mix made according to package directions but double the water, then cook in the waffle iron. When you remove the waffle fold it gently in half (so it doesn't break) and let it cool. (I held it by a fan to speed it up.)

Strawberry Sauce
Put one pint of strawberries and 1/2 cup sugar water in a blender to make the puree.

Fill the waffle with sliced strawberries and whipped cream. Sprinkle with peanuts (in my opinion--the peanuts make the dish so be generous) and serve atop strawberry sauce.

The flat waffle irons work better than the Belgian style.
